Jordan is a study of the air of myself and my friend as autistic adolescents. For these drawings I wanted to look at the isolating effect of the disorder and the awkward postures/angles that are for me symbolic of our autism. Egon Schiele’s angular self portraits were particularly inspirational.
Reflect has a link to cyborg or the mechanised human. This idea was to replace the human’s head with a machine to reflect how tools are becoming more closely linked mentally to people.
