FIRST YEAR WORK

Kelly Richards is a student currently in her second year of a BA HONS Fine Art Degree in ‘Painting, Drawing & Printmaking at Carmarthen School of Art. She works primarily in acrylic, with an interest in exploring colour relationships, layering and use of pattern/texture.

The works exhibited were chosen to display a range of mediums and technique, with a variety of scale and subject matter. ‘Green Pots’ takes on an impressionist mark-making approach, with the size of mark becoming larger as we enter the foreground.

The small painting ‘Untitled’ is a paint study to experiment with different paint applications such as using a brush or spreading with a piece of card.

Mae Kelly Richards yn fyfyriwr yn ei hail flwyddyn o astudio gradd Arlunio, Paentio ac Argraffu yn Ysgol Gelf Caerfyrddin. Mae’n gweithio’n bennaf mewn paent acrylig, gyda diddordeb mewn archwilio perthnasau lliw, heanau a defnyddio patrymau/gwead.
