Ieuan Layton-Matthews GAvA
Leuan Layton Matthews was born in Cardiff in 1940. He attended Gowerton Boys Grammar School during the 1950s. He studied at both Bath Academy of Art in 1960-64 and the Institute of Education University of London 1965. He taught art at Kettering Boys Grammar School 1966-1974 and later lectured at Swansea Institute Art, Glass Department, in the 1980s. Leuan joined the GAvA initially as a friend in 1998 then as an Associate and now as a full member since the early 2000s. and has exhibited annually to the present day.
Ieuan is an award winning artist and has received the following awards.
