The making of a handmade book is a wonderful and satisfying craft that is accessible to all.

From the simplest notebook to the most creative artist’s sketchbook, each book can be truly unique. Whether you would like a personalised diary or journal, a book for recipes, photos, poetry or memoirs, or a small special gift for a friend, from the easiest of beginnings an exquisite piece of craft work can be achieved by all.

Two, Three or Four Day Course – You will build your skills together, each day learning new, basic techniques which make this craft so rewarding. There will be opportunities for individual creativity and experimentation with more advanced techniques. In the atmospheric setting of the former ‘Top Secret’ GCI Radar Station RAF Ripperston, and under the tutoring of Jane & John Dixon who have renovated these wonderful historic buildings, you will make your very own collection of handmade books, learning a skill that can give you a lifetime of pleasure.
