Restricted – Emma Powell
Everyone has their dark places and most experience times in life where they feel trapped by something.
There is always a chance to be free of it; this is my vision of that journey.
This project explores the restrictions generated by mental and physical illness.

Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Anxiety and Depression are all conditions that create a
self-confining prison, this project is intended to help those who live with such
illnesses visualise the escape from those restrictions. By using the landscape as
a metaphor for the human mind and thread as metaphor for the mental states
that form these bounds that are creates by these illnesses.

Mae gan bawb eu Ileoedd tywyll ac mae’r mwyafrif yn profi adegau mewn bywyd ble maent yn teimlo bod rhywbeth yn eu caethiwo.
Mae yna bob amser gyfle i dorri’n rhydd oddi wrtho; dyma fy ngweledigaeth i o’r daith honno.
Mae’r prosiect hwn yn archwilio’r cyfyngiadau sy’n cael eu creu gan salwch meddyliol a chorfforol.

creu carchar hunan-gaethiwol, a bwriad y prosiect hwn yw helpu’r rheiny sy’n
byw gyda’r fath afiechydon i ddychmygu dianc rhag y cyfyngiadau hynny.
Trwy ddefnyddio’r tirlun fel trosiad am y meddwl dynol ac edau fel trosiad am
y cyflyrau meddwl sy’n Ilunio’r terfynau hyn sy’n cael eu creu gan yr afiechydon hyn.
